Daylight Rendering Using the 3DS Max 2009. This tutorial started with the idea of working through the work flow to produce the images on this page. The Revit computer model illustration here of Richard Meier’s High Museum of Art in Atlanta modeled in a class of mine by April Pitman and Tara Warbrick in the March-June Semester 2003 (www.arch.school.nz/bbsc303/buildings.html). The purpose of this document that you should be able to :
• render lighting QUANTITY in Luminance or Illuminance on desk tops and wall surfaces • render images that represent lighting QUALITY in offices and art galleries • plan a set of renders that describes the daily and seasonal VARIABILITY of daylight – select appropriate model input parameters such a SKY DEFINITIONS to represent lighting quality accurately • use HDR images, FALSE COLOR images and standard RENDERS to document the quality of
(day)lighting in their building design.
